The role requires a dynamic, creative individual with a proven record of creating impactful industry marketing strategies. The candidate will bring extensive go‑to‑market experience and a demonstrated ability to build and coordinate B2B marketing and sales‑enablement efforts. Although this is an individual‑contributor position, it necessitates cross‑functional leadership to package, enable, and drive success for Splunk solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop the marketing strategy for both Manufacturing and Technology segments and manage the integrated cross‑functional marketing plan to establish brand, nurture relationships, and drive growth among target audiences and sales channels.
Partner with key industry stakeholders across sales and marketing to ensure a cohesive go‑to‑market approach and a clear narrative on how Splunk is positioned in the industry, tailored to unique needs, challenges, and trends across customer‑facing presentations, use cases, case studies, and sales‑enablement content.
Conduct market research to understand the latest trends, technologies, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics, and use these insights to inform strategic POV as industry changes occur; understand emerging technologies such as AI/Agentic AI, IoT, cloud computing, and their impact on the sector.
Identify key industry influencers, buyers, and teams to position Splunk’s value and PoV.
Provide direction on marketing content programs and strategies specific to the Manufacturing industry segments.
Own and execute sector marketing and collaborate on the thought‑leadership strategy to amplify brand reach across an omnichannel approach (digital, social media, video, podcast, webinar, blogs, association affiliation, and trade‑show sponsorships).
Partner with the Marketing organization and the industry analyst community to extend brand reach.
Collaborate with Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, and Industry Advisory to translate technical capabilities to industry benefits and business outcomes.
Support sales teams by developing industry‑first sales‑enablement materials and collateral, including briefs, personas, FAQs, industry sheets, and more.
Identify events or venues that attract targeted buyers and influencers to increase brand awareness, shift brand image, and create sales opportunities.
Contribute to the creation of thought‑leadership content, webinars, and webcasts to evangelize Splunk’s message.
Manage multiple, complex projects successfully in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience in the technology industry; prior experience in manufacturing marketing is required.
Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
Highly collaborative, entrepreneurial team player who excels under pressure in a high‑growth environment; able to work across business lines and present to executive leadership at various levels.
