Interior Design Project Manager
Jill Litner Kaplan Interiors is seeking an Interior Design Project Manager with 3-5 years previous industry experience in a design, architecture or construction firm.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential as the IDPM will collaborate closely with clients, vendors and contractors.
Working directly with the Principal, Jill Litner Kaplan, the IDPM will offer full-service interior design services and complete project support.
Experience using Google SketchUp, reading architectural plans and managing construction details is a must.
The IDPM must be self‑motivated, detail oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple and complex projects during all phases.

Job Requirements
Project Management:
Comprehensive support and management of all projects being executed. Collaborate with showroom vendors, architects, builders, millworkers, upholstery workrooms, receivers to implement all project initiatives. Create and utilize Excel spreadsheets to monitor all aspects of projects.
Interior Design:
Must read and interpret architectural plans to create furniture layouts by room and space planning. Create a paint schedule for paint color palette selection, floor plans and elevations of cabinetry using Google Sketch‑Up.
Fabric search, selection and application – creation of fabric stories. Selection and application of custom drapery, bedding and pillows.
Furniture search and selection. Customization – finishing, upholstery detail, sizing etc. and custom furniture design.
Lighting selection and applications – architectural and decorative.
Kitchen and bathroom design: Stone and tile selection for flooring, bathrooms, slabs and countertops. Cabinetry material, finish and door style specification. Plumbing selections and technical specifications.
Custom trim, built‑in’s and cabinetry design.
