Location This position can be located in Colorado Springs, Canon City or Denver. It will require frequent travel between all of our locations.

Job Overview The Multi-Media Specialist position supports the Colorado Department of Corrections Correctional Industries, which develops marketing materials to widen the reach of the program to new and existing customers. We are recruiting for an innovative individual to join our team as a Multi-Media Specialist. The selected individual will support the CTA by developing training presentations, instructional materials and web-based training.

Primary Duties

Design and maintain websites, social media, and printed materials for our 18 (and growing) diverse businesses within Colorado State Prisons.

Maintain ERP software as it relates our manufacturing businesses by helping set up inventory, process, complete periodic price validation, develop new products and help bring them to market, develop new business opportunities, present/sell our products at community events, festivals and trade shows;

Redesign and maintain CCI online store on Shopify platform;

Create and edit video content;

Create product listings to include photographs and descriptions, as well as visual option selections for products;

Create marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, reports, video content, using Adobe Creative Cloud software;

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of professional experience developing, designing, and maintaining marketing material, websites, social media, video and printed materials.

OR

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, marketing, education media, mass media production, graphic design, or a closely related field, plus one (1) year of professional experience.

Ability to create accessible documents and technical content that follows plain language guidelines with accessibility in mind.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant years of state service working multimedia platforms;

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, and basic HTML coding for web design;

Experience or knowledge of correctional operations;

Demonstrated ability to apply accessibility best practices and standards (e.g., ADA, Section 508, WCAG) in the creation and adaptation of documents and media.

Employment Conditions

Must be 21 years of age.

Possess a valid driver’s license.

Possess a high school diploma or GED.

Have no felony convictions.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Must pass a background investigation and all modules of the six‑week Colorado Department of Corrections Basic Training.
