The Marketing Generalist has an integral role on a dynamic, fast-paced team and within the organization. Reporting to the Director of Community Relations and Marketing, the Marketing Generalist manages and leads team initiatives centered on social media content and channel management, assists with digital marketing strategies and takes a lead role on a multitude of marketing and communications projects for distribution through traditional media, web, print, internal communications, social media, special events, advertising and more. The position works in collaboration with multiple departments, cross-functional teams, and external organizations to develop and execute marketing campaigns and communication strategies in service to Gritman's patients as well as our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities

Leads the planning, design, staffing and execution of targeted Community Relations and Marketing events, and Foundation events, including signature events and representation of Gritman Medical Center in the community.

Communicates with and responds to requests for assistance and support from internal and external stakeholders, including community members.

Supports the vendor relationship and internal processes for the employee online branded merchandise store.

Assists with administrative tasks as required.

Assists in the design and production of print and digital marketing collateral using established brand templates.

Serves as a dedicated Gritman brand ambassador and contributor to our tight-knit, performance-driven, patient-focused team.

Supports management of the community donation and sponsorship request program.

Marketing assistance, including marketing writing and other deliverables.

Must demonstrate experience, initiative, and comfort in leading multiple projects, including delegating and managing deliverables from other contributors, contractors, and volunteers.

Job Requirements

Education: Either a degree or pursuit of a career in fields including communication, public relations, marketing, journalism, or advertising.

Experience: Work experience in a related field, including communications, public relations, marketing, or advertising.

Skills: Professional and friendly oral and written communications skills; demonstrated experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, event planning, execution and management; and social media content creation. The position requires high integrity, organization, professionalism, creativity, and a team-centered approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

Digital marketing experience is a plus.

Physical Demands

All Gritman Community Relations and Marketing team members are expected to participate in and support several promotional events and activities throughout the year. These events and activities occur both indoors and outdoors in all seasons, and may require the ability to lift, bend, carry and stack items up to 35 pounds. Use of ladders may also be required.
