Your Responsibilities
Overview
Lockton is looking to add a Graphic Designer to support the People Solutions line of business. The Graphic Designer will produce high-quality projects, ensuring delivery of creative and error-free visual materials.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of high-quality, creative deliverables for Lockton Associates, following established design best practices and proofreading procedures.
- Create customized communication materials.
- Provide proofreading services to team members.
- Communicate project status and deadlines to the manager as needed to ensure personal and departmental goals are met or exceeded.
- Attend team and department meetings.
- Complete special projects as assigned and serve as a resource to team members for creative ideas and technical software issues or questions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain branding consistency across deliverables.
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits, such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others.
- All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in graphic art or equivalent education and/or experience. An insurance background is a plus.
- Working and demonstrated knowledge of the MS Office Suite—including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel—and Adobe Suite—including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign software products.
- High-level verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
- Ability to transfer knowledge effectively to team members.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to move from high-level creative projects to routine tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to understand when to proceed independently and when to involve other team members.
- Exemplary aptitude and proven ability in the use of the English language with regard to sentence structure, punctuation, paragraph formation, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, structured environment.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and suggest changes to the author as needed to produce a quality document.
- Ability to be self-motivated.
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed.
- Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions.
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
- Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged period of time.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
- Having a collaborative, service-oriented attitude is critical.
