Position Information Position Title: Computer Science Tutor (Davis Tutoring and Writing Center) Requisition Number: H01682P Position Category: Hourly/Work Study Campus Location: Weber State University - Ogden, UT Hours per week: 7-20 Months per year: 12 Alternate work schedule Pay Grade: Salary Hourly Pay Rate $14.50 FLSA: Job Summary - Tutor WSU students in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop‑in basis. Availability for drop‑in shifts is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques. Job Open Date: 11/10/2025 • Review Date: 11/12/2025 • Job Close Date: 03/10/2026 • Open Until Filled. This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications Must be a WSU student in good academic standing. Faculty recommendation or endorsement. Must be able to tutor at the Davis Campus. Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor. A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring. Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Ability to tutor many different courses. Supplemental Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).
