to join our educational team in

Elgin, IL . In this role, you will provide

specialized instruction and support

to students who are blind or visually impaired, ensuring they receive the tools, resources, and accommodations necessary to succeed academically and socially. Provide

individualized instruction

to students with visual impairments Interpret

vision evaluations and reports

to inform teaching strategies Consult with school personnel, healthcare providers, and families regarding students' visual needs Modify classroom assignments, assessments, and materials

for accessibility Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to

implement accommodations and inclusive practices Participate in

School Service Team

discussions and provide diagnostic input Attend and contribute to

IEP meetings , developing and implementing IEP goals Manage and maintain

adaptive equipment and assistive technology Monitor student progress, update educational records, and complete required reports Develop

transition plans

and Summaries of Performance for students aged 14 and older Maintain compliance with

district, state, and federal documentation requirements What We're Looking For

Valid

Teaching Certification

with an endorsement in

Visual Impairments

Strong understanding of

adaptive equipment, accommodations, and instructional strategies Preferred:

Prior experience providing instruction to students who are

blind or visually impaired

Excellent

collaboration, communication, and organizational
