We’re looking for an Interface Designer to join Snap. Inc!

What you’ll do:

Define strategic vision for UX strategy across Snap’s AR creation tools

Work with Lens Studio Product Managers to iterate UX solutions and strategies

Democratize AR creation through generative AI and LLMs

Work closely with Engineering teams to build and execute on strategic UX initiatives

Document and evangelize best UX practices at Snap

Provide feedback and give guidance to other designers in crits and work sessions.

Gather and evaluate user requirements and behavior

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to mentor younger designers and help develop their skills and perspectives

Ability to define and lead independently in a large ambiguous space

Knowledge of Interface standards and guidelines

Excellent interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail

Ability to effectively influence, communicate and coordinate with other disciplines

Ability to define principles and clearly communicate design decisions and strategy

Ability to prototype interactive experiences

Hands‑on experience with AI tools and applying them to solve UX problems at the consumer level

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA degree or equivalent years of work experience

5+ years of UX/product design experience for web or desktop applications

Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI/UX and Visual Design work

Preferred Qualifications:

Background working with both internal and external partners and agencies

Experience working with Product and Engineering teams

Refined taste in art and an eye for design

Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $190,000‑$284,000 annually.

Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $181,000‑$270,000 annually.

Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $162,000‑$241,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
