Work Style:
Remote with significant travel to visit customer sites, paper mills, and the Saratoga Springs office for commercial sales meetings, approximately 50%.
We are partnering with a client that manufactures lightweight publishing papers and is seeking an experienced commercial sales professional with a strong understanding of publishing and editorial workflows. This role will help drive growth across a specialized publishing paper portfolio. The position is remote, with meaningful customer interaction and close collaboration with internal teams.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals and evolving market needs
Own and grow key customer relationships across publishing and compliance-driven applications
Consistently drive toward sales targets while building a healthy, sustainable pipeline
Monitor sales performance and adjust strategy to optimize results
Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, field technical teams, and customer service
Apply a strong understanding of editorial processes and content strategy to support customer needs
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Establish and track KPIs, manage budgets, and report on content and sales performance
Our Client's Products Our client manufactures lightweight publishing papers across a broad range of basis weights, brightness levels, shades, and PPI ranges. These products are used in reference directories, compliance documents, annual reports, SEC filings, and other high-precision publishing applications.
What We Are Looking For
Background in publishing, editorial processes, or content strategy strongly preferred
Experience across both traditional and digital publishing environments
Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Five to ten years of relevant commercial or publishing industry experience
Willingness to travel approximately 50%
