Position Overview
We are seeking a
highly experienced and motivated Construction Superintendent
to oversee field operations for our paving and pavement maintenance crews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt and/or concrete construction, with proven leadership skills, an unwavering focus on safety and quality, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for paving and pavement maintenance projects.
Lead and manage crews to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
Review project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors on-site.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, local, and company safety standards.
Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
Solve job site challenges efficiently while maintaining schedule and cost objectives.
Maintain detailed project documentation including reports, timesheets, and logs.
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and inspectors.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in asphalt paving, concrete work, or pavement maintenance (including 1+ years in a supervisory role).
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, paving techniques, and construction practices.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Proficient in project tracking software and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
