Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA serves as the analyst for Public Records Act requests, legislation, publications, regulations, reports, and special projects for the Division of Law Enforcement, Office of the Chief. The AGPA acts as the division’s liaison and representative with the Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs, conducts training for legislation/regulation/publication/Public Records Act analysts, and ensures extensive knowledge of Division and Department policies and procedures.

Working Conditions These employment duties can be performed remotely after a six‑month training period; the position may allow a hybrid in‑office and telework opportunity upon supervisor approval. Work schedules are based on current workload conditions and may be reevaluated as required.

Qualifications Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Applicants should be familiar with the California Public Records Act, legislation analysis, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a background investigation to be cleared prior to hiring.
