About this Role The role of a Recovery Analyst is to recover funds on behalf of Medi‑Cal (California’s Medicaid program) for members who were involved in personal injury actions, such as auto accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability. Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, the Recovery Analyst is responsible for maintaining an ongoing caseload and recovering funds owed to Medi‑Cal. The Third Party Liability and Recovery Division’s Personal Injury Branch is looking for one or more motivated Recovery Analysts to join our Personal Injury team.
Working Conditions The position is located in West Sacramento, Yolo County. Campus‑style office offers free parking and is near a freeway, shopping center, and dining options.
Minimum Requirements Refer to the Class Specification for full details. Positions available in Analyst I and Analyst II classifications.
ANALYST I – $3,861.00 - $4,839.00
ANALYST II – $6,031.00 - $7,547.00
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
Knowledge of the Medi‑Cal Program, insurance claims, and/or medical billing or records.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail, particularly large sets of data.
Strong time management and multitasking skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Comfortable speaking live with stakeholders via telephone or other means of communication.
Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Innovative thinker.
Experience reviewing and interpreting procedures, policies, statutes, regulations, and/or legal documents.
Accounting, data reconciliation, and/or fiscal forecasting experience.
Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
