About the role
Rapidly assess and inspect utility poles, power lines, and related infrastructure after natural disasters. Identify damage, report hazards, and support restoration crews to safely and efficiently restore power.
Emergency response work in challenging, post-storm conditions.
Potentially long, irregular hours including nights and weekends.
What you'll do
Inspect poles, lines, transformers for storm damage.
Identify and report safety hazards such as downed wires or leaning poles.
Document conditions using mobile devices and GPS.
Communicate findings to restoration teams for prioritized repairs.
Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective gear.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and difficult terrain.
Knowledge of utility infrastructure preferred.
Physical ability to walk over debris, climb poles, and work long shifts.
