As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role. This position plays a vital part in our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to pick lists and order forms.
- Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, following all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and workstations are free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet productivity goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and inventory labels.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable with Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Understanding of Logistics and warehouse operations is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all Safety guidelines.
