Position Summary Represent the Company to industrial, utility, contractor and commercial customers and prospects. Managing an account base and maintaining good public relations with customers are vital functions of this position. Develop and manage the assigned sales territory and account list to maximize growth in sales and gross margin. Assess and provide customer service to fulfill individual customer needs. Develop and implement yearly Sales Growth and Marketing Plans for the territory.

Responsibilities

Regularly make sales calls at customers’ places of business, ensuring all needs are understood and addressed.

Develop and execute sales calls on new and existing industrial, utility, contractor and commercial accounts, introducing new product lines and answering questions.

Prospect for new accounts and organize activities in the assigned territory; continuously seek new business.

Provide training and product literature to customers.

Handle complaints, warranty problems and provide customer service throughout the sales process.

Collect and analyze consumer data to understand changing needs.

Attend training sessions and department meetings as requested.

Skills / Physical Demands / Additional Qualifications

Selling experience preferred.

Knowledge of electrical products.

Excitement for growing the business and acquiring new customers.

Problem‑solving skills to resolve customer complaints or needs.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Understanding of industry consumer behavior.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Analytical skills for client data.

Time management and multitasking skills.

Advanced motivational and negotiation skills.

Driver’s license and safe driving record (Class‑C KS, Class‑E MO, Class‑D OK).

Able to lift 100 pounds infrequently and 25 pounds frequently.
