Diesel Mechanic . Immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet in Peoria, Illinois. Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Pay: $30.00 per hour Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification (up to $700) Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter Sign On Bonus: $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm Annual Merit Pay Increases On‑the‑job Paid Training Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) start at 30 days 12 weeks Paid Maternity Leave for qualifying employees Paid Time Off starts at 80 hours per year (day one) Additional Day Off for U.S. Military Veterans 401(k) company match Stock at 15% Employee Discount PPE, Uniforms, & Boot Allowance Provided Top Technician Recognition Program: cash prizes $250 to $50,000 Technician Tuition Repayment Program up to $5,000 Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Vocational or Technical Certification/Post‑Secondary degree preferred Basic tools required Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work) 2+ years of classroom training and work experience (preferred) Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years) Additional screening may be required (employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, badging or background requirements) Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections Perform preventive maintenance Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable Identify root cause of basic failures and perform repairs Replace defective components as instructed Perform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation Work in accordance with federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT) Perform other support duties as required to support operations (including Service Island support) Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug‑free workplace.
