What our Pest Control Consultants do The primary purpose of this role is to sell Terminix’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business. You’ll be the face of our national brand in your local community, protecting homes and families by assessing customer needs, consulting, and providing expert solutions.
Responsibilities
Visually inspect homes for pests, harborage, and entry points; recommend pest control solutions and preventative maintenance based on assessment findings.
Collaborate with Customer Service Center, Inside Sales, and Technicians to identify opportunities.
Partner with Branch Manager to identify revenue streams, develop proposals, and recommend enhancements.
Complete home diagrams using Sales CRM; document challenges.
Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
Provide expert knowledge for new service installations to ensure satisfactory completion.
Maintain daily sales performance records using company CRM.
Essential Job Functions – Physical Demands
Move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently.
Balance, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use stairs, ladders, and scaffolding regularly.
Work safely around various pests and in confined spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics.
Operate and maintain a motor vehicle and equipment.
Wear PPE, including OSHA‑compliant respirator, as required.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal, customer‑service, and communication skills.
Preferred: 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
Available to travel up to 100 % of time within assigned territory.
Base Pay Range Hourly: $18.00 – $21.60. Overtime, incentives, commissions, and performance factors may affect total earnings.
