Strategic Account Manager

About the Role As a Strategic Account Manager, you will develop new customers while delighting current clients within your local geography. You will manage all aspects of customer engagement, including demand scheduling, credit issues, quote management, and product knowledge. This role is pivotal to the success of our business.
What you’ll be working on
Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, meeting and surpassing assigned sales goals
Seeking new opportunities, reactivating dormant accounts, and connecting with current and potential customers to generate sales revenue
Setting objectives with local management and determining appropriate customer calls to make
Completing pre‑call preparation and qualifying potential customers
Collaborating with branch management and inside sales teams on customer visits
We’re looking for someone with
University degree an asset, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of sales experience (bonus points if you’ve worked in the electronics distribution industry)
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Results‑oriented work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
Desire to delight customers – anticipating needs and exceeding expectations
It’d be great if you have
Negotiation skills – ability to persuade and influence
English written and spoken
Advanced Excel skills (v‑lookups, pivot tables)
