About the Role In Payroll Country, our Sales Account Executives don't like to be fed, they like to hunt. We'll give you a chair, but you won't use it much. Instead, you'll spend a lot of your time in the field, greeting prospects with a smile and a handshake, not a template email. When you're not, you'll be actively researching and pursuing new business through social media, cold-calling, and whatever resources you can manage. That's not to say that you won't have technology to back you up, though. Our entire sales force has access to a world-class, all-encompassing CRM. Not to mention, the full support of everyone else in the Complete Payroll family. Who You Are We are seeking candidates with Inside Sales and/or B2B Outside Sales experience with a proven track record of success, wanting to provide small to large businesses across WNY (even nationally) with the best payroll, timekeeping and HRIS solutions through Complete Payroll. You should have experience with cold calling and/or doing walk‑ins and the ability to stay organized while working autonomously.

Experienced with a CRM such as Salesforce, Hubspot.
Comfortable and experienced with technology as you will be using it all the time.
Proven success record in new business acquisition is a must. You understand that this is a position that is solely focused on developing new business.
A self‑starter who uses all resources at their disposal to prospect and build a sales pipeline, without requiring much oversight.
Position Summary & Responsibilities Complete Payroll is a family‑owned business that has been providing payroll, timekeeping and HRIS solutions to local businesses (across 49 states) primarily in WNY for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have three times the number of employees on the service end than the sales end. We are focused on ensuring that our clients know who is handling their payroll and feel like they can get answers when they need them. We know that not every solution that we provide to our clients should be the same, so we focus on only providing the services that they need. We have a team of dedicated transition specialists to welcome every single client on board and ensure that their experience with our company is seamless and hassle‑free right from the start. Most importantly, we provide each client with one single customer service representative to work with every step of the way, not a call center. This is why we are proud to say that we have been able to retain over 90% of our client base consistently.
Essential Functions
Generates leads through cold calling, networking, and building referral relationships.
Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; forecasting and projecting expected sales volume; contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state‑of‑the‑art practices; participating in professional societies.
Records daily activities in HubSpot. These are reviewed at least weekly with the Regional Sales Manager.
Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Minimum Qualifications
Prefer 4‑year degree in Business, finance, or marketing or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2 years successful B2B sales experience.
Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and sales skills.
Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, fast‑growth environment.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility and willingness to work closely with our senior management team.
Optional Payroll sales experience is a major asset.
Base Pay Range $50,000 - $80,000 per year.
Commissions Paid on top of base pay per Compensation Agreement.
