Director of Housekeeping - Brookfield, WI
Educated Solutions Corp is seeking a Director of Housekeeping for our hotel in Brookfield, WI. This is a direct hire, full‑time position that pays $65K‑$70K+ depending on experience and includes a generous benefits package. Working hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, though hours may vary based on hotel needs.
Position Overview As the Director of Housekeeping, you will hire and lead the housekeeping staff to ensure excellent quality of service to our guests. You will provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work, plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the hotel, requiring continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including restaurants, lounges, and meeting rooms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the housekeeping department, including guestrooms, public areas, laundry, and back‑of‑house operations.
Recruit, train, schedule, and provide performance management for the housekeeping team.
Set and maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the property.
Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens to ensure adequate stock.
Develop and manage the department's budget, controlling labor costs and expenses.
Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies, etc.
Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum labor expenses, monitoring house count and making staffing adjustments accordingly.
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing concerns, fulfilling special requests, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Work with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure smooth operations and timely room readiness.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
Conduct regular inspections of all areas and implement quality control systems.
Qualifications
2+ years of previous experience in a Director of Housekeeping
position inside a hotel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across different departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.).
Someone who takes pride in providing excellent service and high level of cleanliness of the rooms for our guests and has great attention to detail.
Schedule flexibility –
This is a 1st shift position but will require the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the hotel.
