Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II provides high-quality patient support by collecting and preparing blood specimens for testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and excellent customer experience. This role involves direct interaction with patients, maintaining a professional environment, and following established procedures. The representative may work in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other assigned location. Requirement/Must Have:
Ability to perform daily activities accurately and on time. Ability to maintain a safe and professional environment. Skilled in forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing. Ability to verify patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification. Ability to maintain required records and documentation. Strong organizational commitment and professionalism. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and good judgment. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, if applicable. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations. Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings. Strong customer focus and effective communication skills. Experience:
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. 2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience. Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection following procedure. Confirm patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification. Maintain documentation and required records. Promote a positive, professional image to patients, clients, and the public. Should Have:
Ability to communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and patients. Ability to adapt to change and maintain transparency. Skills:
Strong phlebotomy skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Strong organizational skills. Qualification And Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
