Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for completing paperwork and accessing necessary databases to perform your job accurately and timely. You will follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules, remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with a keen ability to self-monitor work quality. Responsibilities: Complete all related paperwork and access required databases for job completion. Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies. Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and recommend repairs for heavy equipment. Apply specific failure analysis and procedures for diagnosis. Test and verify the correct operation of all repairs and adjustments. Adhere to all company policies. Complete all Level I, II, & III assigned training proficiently. Mentor team members. Essential Skills: Mastery of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Knowledge of database software, Internet software, and order processing systems. Must be at least 21 years old to operate field vehicles. General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, and components. Certified in air-conditioning. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Ability to provide accurate quotes. Associate's degree/certificate in diesel technology or a similar mechanical discipline (preferred). 1-5 years of experience as a diesel/automotive technician/mechanic or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, and caterpillars. MSHA certification may be required. Forklift and/or man lift certification may be required. Driver's license is mandatory. Full benefits health/dental/vision/401k, PTO accrual starts day 1 Tooling Account credit Every quarter get $100 credit for tools (nice CAT branded tools) Can finance the tools and have $50 deducted each week from paycheck They do offer a relo/reimbursement package (nothing crazy) Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Oklahoma City, OK.
