This job description is for a Sales Account Executive position at WSPA/WYCW, the Nexstar-owned stations in Greenville-Spartanburg. The role involves generating advertising revenue by building and maintaining relationships with clients, both established and new, and leveraging digital and television advertising solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation:
Build and grow revenue by contacting existing clients and pursuing new prospects. Advertising Strategies:
Develop and implement strategies to exceed revenue goals, leveraging both traditional and digital advertising. Client Relationships:
Establish strong, long-lasting relationships with the local business community. Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
Conduct sales calls, prepare and deliver presentations, and explain the benefits of advertising solutions to clients. Ad Development & Placement:
Collaborate with clients and station personnel to create effective advertising strategies, schedules, and content. Requirements & Skills: Education:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience:
Prior experience in sales, preferably in advertising, is often beneficial. Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable using computer software like Microsoft Word and Excel. Driver's License:
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
