Overview Intra-Cellular Therapies, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, is expanding its CAPLYTA® medical team in psychiatry. The Neuroscience Sales Specialist‑II will be responsible for meeting sales targets within assigned geographies, engaging healthcare professionals, and advancing the company’s mission to improve lives of patients with neuropsychiatric disorders.

Job Responsibilities

Drive sales performance in assigned territory, ensuring forecasts are met or exceeded by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in‑person and virtually while following compliance guidelines.

Use assigned budgets effectively to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.

Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, routinely sharing information with relevant internal stakeholders.

Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region, identifying appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, or system.

Work with Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives, capitalizing on formulary approvals and other opportunities through strategic implementation.

Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and share best practices.

Accountable for timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting.

Build a based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products.

Complete all company and job‑related training within required timelines.

Job Requirements

At least 2 years of previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical device sales (3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred).

Experience with launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales highly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Strong desire and passion for improving lives of patients and caregivers; patient‑centric mindset.

High integrity and compliance with company’s policies and procedures.

Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent decision‑making judgment, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Track record of success adapting to evolving environments (e.g., COVID‑19) to overcome obstacles.

Ability to be agile and adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments.

Data/metrics analysis skills to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify new opportunities.

Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse audience.

Work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours; some overnight travel may be required.

Domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training and sales meetings periodically.

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range $98,000 — $155,000.
