About the Role This role’s core responsibility is managing sales efforts to service and grow our customer base. This person is responsible for generating new leads, cold calling, setting appointments, closing, and servicing accounts. At Alpha 3 we are a relationship focused business, not a transactional one and we look for individuals who want to deliver exceptional customer service.
Sales Responsibilities
Source new leads online, by networking and through referrals.
Cold call and set appointments
Negotiate spot rates, long-term pricing, and contract pricing
Negotiate contracts and rate agreements.
Customer Service Responsibilities
Continuously look for new ways to drive revenue and relationships with customer base
Provide proactive communication with customers, shippers, and receivers throughout the entire order process
Work alongside the carrier operations team to coordinate streamlined and efficient processes.
Track/trace shipments when requested.
Maintain a high level of customer service/satisfaction/retention
Requirements Must have minimum 2-3 years of recent logistics brokerage or transportation logistics sales experience.
Must have proven success of selling up 10K+ a month [D1]
Has a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and sales drive
Excellent communication skills both on the phone and written
Has competent and strong decision-making abilities
Ability to create a unique customer experience that aligns with Alpha 3’s values and mission
Strong ability to overcome objections and can maintain composure in high-stress scenarios
Open to working after normal business hours and weekends
Knowing and understanding the market
