What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Prepare repair orders by detailing symptoms, problems, and necessary repairs based on technician submissions
Verify accuracy of VMRS codes and ensure billing hours align with standard repair times
Generate invoices based on repair orders, applying customer-specific rates and mark-ups
Improve the quality of repair orders by identifying and correcting weak points to minimize customer disputes
Communicate with customers via email, fax, or phone to obtain purchase order approvals and address billing issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience totaling 5 years
Proficiency with Mitchell One or similar estimating systems
Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and software navigation for generating estimates and processing invoices
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in service writing
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Existing knowledge of standard repair times for common services
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and action-oriented approach to daily tasks
Maintains a professional yet friendly demeanor, especially when dealing with frustrated customers
