What is an Occupancy Verification? A periodic audit that verifies a property is occupied and in a tolerable condition, using a mobile application to record data and take photographs.
Responsibilities
Complete most inspections within 5–6 minutes.
Finish each assignment within 4 days after it is scheduled.
Document general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
Submit a short form in the app.
Drive extended periods with multiple stops throughout the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with an internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you will pay your own gas).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary by county and volume, but the equivalent of $30–$40 per hour is earned. Depending on county density, you may complete anywhere from 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates and higher‑volume counties have lower rates. No set minimum; the work is consistent month‑to‑month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
