What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving
Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies
Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide actuarial support and insights
Conduct data analysis and recommend changes to insurance products based on findings
What is Required (Qualifications)
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 3 years of experience
At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
Strong analytical and communication skills

Expert‑level problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to give formal presentations and communicate effectively
In‑depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
Basic computer programming skills
