What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving
Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies
Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts and evaluate their analytical work
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actuarial support and insights
Conduct data analysis, perform rate reviews, and recommend changes to insurance products
What is Required (Qualifications)
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of post‑bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
Or a graduate degree in the same fields with 3 years of relevant experience
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Expert‑level problem‑solving and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver formal presentations
In‑depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
Basic software programming skills
