What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving

Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies

Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support

Conduct data analysis and recommend changes to insurance products

What is Required (Qualifications)

BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance

Or a graduate degree in the same fields with 3 years of experience

Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams

Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, etc.

Strong analytical and communication skills

Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively

In-depth actuarial industry knowledge and understanding of the insurance marketplace

Basic computer software programming skills
