Responsibilities
Develop and analyze data related to complex actuarial functions
Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory agencies
Provide training and mentorship to junior Actuarial Analysts
Conduct data analysis, rate reviews, and recommend changes to insurance products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance, or a graduate degree with 3 years of experience
At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines pricing insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to lead teams and give formal presentations
In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
Basic programming skills in computer software
Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups or volunteering
