What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and loss reserving

Prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings for regulatory submission

Provide training and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actuarial supportConduct data analysis and make recommendations for insurance product changes

What is Required (Qualifications)

BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field with 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance

Or a graduate degree in the same fields with 3 years of relevant experience

Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams

Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, or similar tools

Strong analytical and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Expert-level problem‑solving and critical thinking skills

Proven ability to lead teams and give formal presentations

In‑depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace

Basic computer programming skills
