What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and develop new methods for insurance rating and prepare analyses for regulatory submissions
Evaluate and make recommendations based on actuarial analyses performed by others
Provide training and support to Actuarial Analysts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actuarial insights and support
Gather and clean data to ensure accuracy and readiness for analysis
What is Required (Qualifications)
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 3 years of experience
At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines pricing insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proven oral and written communication abilities, including formal presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
Basic programming skills in computer software
Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups or volunteering
