as a Parts Specialist. Provide high level service to retail and installer customers and support store management.
Responsibilities
Promote customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, etc.)
Greet walk‑in customers, assist with merchandise selection, and perform checkout duties.
Assist managers and installer specialists in serving professional customers.
Respond to phone inquiries, accurately look up parts, quote prices, and recommend premium items.
Maintain cash drawer, process cash/credit, and handle exchanges and returns.
Address and resolve customer complaints.
Update planograms, receive freight, stock shelves, and perform fronting/facing.
Prepare merchandise returns for distribution center and perform inventory counts.
Operate brake lathe and other test equipment after training.
Provide in‑store services (install wipers, test/charge batteries, scan codes, replace headlights).
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when required.
Qualifications
Quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Deliver outstanding, friendly, professional customer service.
Multitask handling phone and in‑store customers simultaneously.
Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging (desired).
ASE certification (desired).
Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish highly desired.
