As a key member of the warehouse team, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods into and out of the facility.
This role requires a combination of administrative, organizational, and physical skills and works cross‑functionally with other departments, outside vendors, carriers and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare, package, and label products for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming shipments with precision.
Create product packing lists and shipping documents from the ERP system.
Choose appropriate packaging for product based on customer requirement.
Check orders for accuracy before packaging and shipment.
Arrange transportation services as requested by customer, or determine the most cost‑effective method of transportation when customer preference is not provided.
Interact cross‑functionally with other departments within the plant to meet shipments or solve problems.
Create and provide documentation to appropriate departments for quality purposes.
Notify and/or deliver incoming products to appropriate departments.
Process and prepare documentation for all returns.
Material handling – forklift operation (on‑job training & certification available).
Additional tasks or projects (not listed above) that are assigned by supervisor or manager.
What You Need to Succeed
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1–2 years of Microsoft Windows operating‑system experience (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) required.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
1–2 years of ERP‑system experience.

1–2 years of forklift experience.

Compensation $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Specific visual abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. All employees must wear company‑approved safety glasses while on the production floor, warehouse, or other designated area within the plant.
Working Environment Work independently within an industrial environment, within warehouses and material locations across the plant, with exposure to a machine shop. Occasionally spend a reasonable amount of time at a desk on a computer. Workplace can be fast‑paced and physically demanding; employee may need to lift and move heavy packages, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, and stand for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
