What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers as needed
Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels and ensuring safety
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to work in a moderately risky environment with safety precautions
Availability to participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous experience in customer service or a related field
Familiarity with equipment maintenance or inspections
Ability to drive a forklift (certification provided upon employment)
Interest in additional certifications, such as propane filling
