Associate Team Lead | Talent Acquisition Specialist | Supporting End-to-End Hiring Solutions Role : Documentation Specialist
Location : 1540 E Parham Rd, Henrico, VA 23228
Work Status: USC / Green Card Holder
Position Type: 6‑month contract with possible extension or conversion
Compensation: $30–$40/hr
Schedule: Flexible (8:30–5:30 or 9:00–6:00, 1‑hour lunch)
Onboarding: 7‑year background check and drug screen (no THC)
Position Overview
Hyper Solutions designs and manufactures power distribution equipment for data centers. The Documentation Specialist will support Product Management by developing and organizing a comprehensive repository of technical product information. This documentation will enable Applications Engineers and Sales teams to work more efficiently and accurately.
This role requires hands‑on technical aptitude, the ability to interpret engineering documentation, and strong written communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with electro‑mechanical systems, researching component data, and collaborating closely with product managers and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and organize technical documentation for Hyper Solutions’ products and component subsystems
Work closely with Product Managers to identify, gather, and validate required technical information
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical data sheets
Search internal databases and PLM systems to locate drawings, BOMs, and related documentation
Research component specifications from manufacturer websites and technical resources
Write clear and accurate product specifications, procedures, and assembly documentation
Review and analyze product manuals and existing documentation for completeness and accuracy
Enter the manufacturing floor as needed to inspect equipment, disassemble components, and document assembly and operation procedures
Required Qualifications
Technical background in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, preferably within data center power, controls, or related industries such as HVAC controls
Strong ability to extract and synthesize information on electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subsystems
Proven experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and data sheets
Experience searching and managing engineering documentation within databases or PLM systems (e.g., Arena)
Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Demonstrated experience writing technical specifications and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of CAD software
Experience supporting manufacturing, product management, or engineering teams
Exposure to power distribution equipment or data center infrastructure.
