Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto)
Direct Auto Insurance, part of the Allstate family, offers a wide range of home, auto, accident and health insurance products through a network of independent agents and direct consumer channels.
Job Description The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and building rapport and trust with customers. The role focuses on attracting and generating new customers, cross‑selling existing customers, selling to walk‑in customers, marketing products outside the office via marketing calls and in‑person visits, and assisting customers in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business sales and understand customers’ needs.
Build and retain a book of business within the market/retail location.
Attract and generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers.
Sell to walk‑in customers and perform marketing calls and in‑person visits to promote community relationships.
Assist customers while they are in the office.
Minimum Qualifications
0 – 2 years of experience.
P&C licensing (preferred) or obtain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Successful closing of insurance and ancillary product sales.
Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention of customers.
Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence.
Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base for product offerings.
Monitor key competitors and propose initiatives to improve market position.
Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
Deliver results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Stay current on company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.
Compensation Base hourly rate: $17.50 per hour for unlicensed candidates, $20.00 per hour for licensed candidates. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
