Description Service Development Representative supports profitable growth of the service department by proactively generating new maintenance and repair revenue. This role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with larger, multi-location customer accounts across the Lakeside territory. The Service Development Representative partners closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, understand customer operating needs, and present a broad portfolio of service solutions—including preventive maintenance programs, repair planning, and uptime‑focused support—tailored to each customer’s business.
Responsibilities
Identify potential customers, build and expand relationships with key accounts through customer visits, direct marketing, and cold calls. Establishing positive first impressions and building rapport.
Make customer calls/ visits with service, parts, and sales staff to increase overall market penetration.
Collaborating effectively to provide comprehensive solutions and enhance customer experience.
Representing Lakeside professionally, ethically in all interactions with potential customers, building trust and credibility.
Continuously research and analyze markets to identify potential customers and understand their needs.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities and new products/service offerings to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential customers.
Adapt to evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
1-3 years in sales, business development or marketing type role
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the phone, and in person
Comfortable soliciting new business and meeting new people
Ability to communicate strategically and creatively
Flexible with the ability to work with a variety of customers and their needs
Disciplined, with good organizational and time management skills
Intermediate computer skills and the ability to work with dealership systems
A high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the transportation/ truck industry
Valid driver’s license
