Mid‑Level Real Estate Lending Associate
An elite national law firm is seeking a talented mid‑level associate to join its sophisticated Real Estate Finance group in either New York or Charlotte. The Role In this position, you will take on a central role representing leading lenders in real‑estate and asset‑based loan originations. You’ll handle transactions involving commercial properties, development projects, and diverse collateral structures. Attorneys who also have experience advising developers on acquisitions, sales, and financings will find that background highly valued.
What You’ll Work On
Structuring, negotiating, and documenting real‑estate and asset‑based lending transactions
Managing loan originations from term sheet through closing
Advising on collateral packages and multi‑property financings
Collaborating closely with partners and clients, with meaningful opportunities for hands‑on responsibility
Supporting a broad mix of deal types across national and regional markets
What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of real‑estate finance experience, with a strong focus on representing lenders
Solid background in loan origination work
Additional experience with developer‑side real‑estate transactions is a plus
Strong academic credentials and polished communication skills
Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Admission to the NY or NC Bar (or eligibility to waive into NC)
