Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)
Comparion Insurance Agency is seeking a Sales Agent for our August and Bangor offices and surrounding locations. This is an in‑office position that requires a strong local network and in‑person relationship building in the community.
Pay Details
Base salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year.
Typical first year total compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 with base, bonuses and uncapped commissions.
Potential for top performers to earn over $100,000 in their first year.
Job Responsibilities
Build and leverage a strong local network and in‑person relationships in the community.
Sell personal lines insurance products (Auto, Home, Life, etc.) to prospective customers.
Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified leads.
Attend training and obtain necessary state insurance licenses.
Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
Previous sales experience turning prospects into customers.
State insurance license in Property & Casualty and Life, or willingness to earn one.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Persuasion, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
