Pay Overview Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr. The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. Through a combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions, typical total first‑year compensation ranges from $55k to $75k, with potential for top performers to earn over $100k in their first year.

Location This is an in‑office position located in South Portland, with surrounding locations required. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities We are looking for a Sales Agent who will use a strong local network and in‑person relationship building to grow the agency’s presence.

Build and maintain a robust local network to develop new business.

Engage directly with prospects and existing customers in the community.

Utilize the agency’s product portfolio of Auto, Home, Life and related insurance offerings.

Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention rates.

Collaborate with team members for leads and support.

Preferred Experience

Previous sales experience turning prospects into customers.

State insurance license or willingness to obtain one in Property & Casualty and Life.

Required Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and proven relationship building.

Effective time‑management and organizational skills.

Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.

Experience in finding and growing leads and a customer base.
