Join FAR INSPECTIONS as a Mortgage Field Services Inspector. We look for motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders in Reno, NV.
Independent contractors earn predictable full-time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; strong time‑management and deadline‑meeting skills are essential.
What is an Occupancy Verification?
Verify property occupancy.
Report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Responsibilities
Conduct exterior property inspections (5–6 minutes each).
Complete inspection and report within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in the app.
Spend extended periods driving within assigned territory, making multiple stops per day.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; gas is paid separately).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check.
Pay & Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume.
You can earn approximately $30–$40 per hour, completing anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month and working 2–30 hours per week, depending on county and urban vs. rural location.
No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
