Special agents carry out investigations and protection duties, often at multiple duty stations across the U.S. and abroad. Responsibilities include: Providing protection for various protectees. Conducting criminal investigations related to U.S. financial obligations. Planning and implementing security for National Special Security Events. Our special agents are exceptional individuals. U.S. citizenship required. Valid driver's license. Firearm proficiency and ability to carry/use a firearm. Age between 21 and 37 at the time of conditional employment offer, with exceptions for prior federal law enforcement service or veteran's preference. Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance. Visual acuity of 20/100 binocular uncorrected, 20/20 or better corrected. Hearing loss not exceeding 25 decibels in each ear. Drug testing prior to appointment and randomly thereafter. Complete 13 weeks of training at FLETC in Glynco, GA, and 18 weeks at James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Willingness to accept assignments nationwide and overseas. Register with the Selective Service System or be exempt (for male applicants born after Dec 31, 1959). Additional Details
