Job Summary
Drive State owned vans providing safe and efficient transportation for the GT community to various drop‑off locations on and off campus.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: supervisor, other drivers, and passengers (students, faculty and staff).
This position will supervise: N/A.
Responsibilities
Drive State owned vans and fleet vehicles, providing safe and efficient transportation for the GT community to various drop‑off locations on and off campus.
Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including passengers with disabilities.
Utilize transit technology in following GPS directions and logging ridership details.
Perform routine pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, refuel vehicles, drop off, and transport vehicle to/from maintenance shop.
Make timely accident and incident reports.
Perform courier duties and work with special events as needed.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Must have and maintain a State of Georgia Class C or CDL drivers license.
The Stingerette driver position requires the following physical and mobility abilities: stepping up into and out of a vehicle multiple times in an hour; lift up to 25 lbs; open, close, or pull shut a vehicle door or sliding door; assist a passenger in a wheelchair or crutches getting into and out of a vehicle; provide assistance harnessing a wheelchair.

The Stingerette driver position requires operating a large passenger van with an exterior vehicle height of up to 9.25 ft, length up to 22 ft, and width up to 7 ft (excluding mirrors).
