Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from partner brands in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting hourly pay will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours: 10‑14 per week.

Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities Will Include

Day‑to‑day engagement:

Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report hours, give feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store staff, management, and customers is essential.

Holiday support:

Additional days and extended hours during peak holiday periods (Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s, Father’s, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.

Department resets:

Assist with installations, fixture building, relocation of card departments, and resetting card sections. Receive notification at least two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.

Team support:

Work as part of Hallmark’s field organization to support other merchandisers as needed in their territories.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders as needed.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Able to read, write, and understand English.

Capable of frequently lifting up to 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.

Proficient operating a digital handheld device to open, read documents, and interpret information.

Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.

Reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
