Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser you will work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills while establishing strong retailer relationships. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed.
Salary and Schedule Details
Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00 – $16.00 depending on skills and experience.
Eligible for annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable weekly schedule.
Average weekly hours: 7 – 11 hours per week.
Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities Include
Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Utilize technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys.
Holiday support:
Assist during peak seasonal periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Additional days and extended hours may be required, including work on the holidays themselves.
Department resets:
Participate in installations, fixture relocations, and card section resets. Two weeks’ advance notice is provided for remodel assignments; overnight or weekend work may be necessary.
Team collaboration:
Work with other merchandisers to support fellow team members across territories as needed.
Physical Requirements Must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Requires kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the day, and may involve climbing stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum age 18.
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Comfortable using a handheld digital device to access documents.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Reliable transportation to travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
