Specification Sales Representative
for their Wilsonart product category. The role requires a customer‑service oriented, self‑directed professional with strong earning potential and solid benefits.
Job Description The position is located in the “Raleigh/High Point” market and requires residing within the territory coverage area. The representative will call on architects, designers, furniture & fixture manufacturers, and kitchen & bath designers to develop specifications for Wurth product portfolio including Wilsonart laminate, solid surface, quartz, and other decorative surfaces.
Responsibilities
Actively call on the architect and design community to target sales growth opportunities.
Obtain sales growth objectives for predetermined product categories.
Occasionally travel with the Wurth sales team to key accounts.
Develop project leads, influence specifications, track progress, and communicate to the sales team.
Maintain a database of contacts, call planning, post‑call action items, target accounts, products, and project tracking.
Manage and resupply sample libraries in design community, area showrooms, and branch locations.
Conduct formal and informal presentations with influential design firms, clients, and associations such as ASID, AIA, USGBC.
Work closely with product vendors to develop the specification sales channel.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years industry experience in sales, specification sales, or design.
Bachelor’s or post‑secondary degree in a related field preferred.
Experience in design and product development is an asset.
Good understanding of the construction and product specification process.
Willing to make daily sales calls locally and out of town; overnight travel required.
Strong presentation skills, comfortable speaking in groups.
Computer Skills Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. CRM knowledge required; PowerPoint presentation development is a must.
Compensation Commission: 0.5%–1.5% depending on location, approximately $1,700 per month. Estimated Annual Pre‑Tax Earnings: $75,000–$83,000 (base plus commission).
