AHRC NYC is looking to hire an Account Executive/Job Developer for its Staten Island Employment Business Services (EBS) Advance & Earn Program. The Advance & Earn program is an internship program that prepares NYC youth for a rewarding career. This position is based in Staten Island, but travel throughout the city and to other boroughs or out of state is required.
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year plus a low‑cost, comprehensive health benefit package.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works closely with program staff to coordinate job matching and placement of job seekers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop employment opportunities for people supported as outlined in Addendum #1.
Promote a positive image and knowledge of AHRC’s Employment & Business Services.
Initiate employer relationships through cold calling, involvement in business groups, and other activities.
Build relationships with employers and business people in the targeted industries based on the abilities and interests of job seekers.
Accompany job seekers on interviews and help them present themselves effectively. Travel with job seekers via public transportation or program van when necessary.
Coordinate account management in conjunction with the Employment and Community Service Coordinator and other EBS staff.
Ensure program placement goals are met for each program in the region on a quarterly basis.
Prepare and deliver marketing presentations as needed.
Participate in networking events.
Travel throughout the five boroughs and out of state as required.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s in Arts or Bachelor’s in Science plus at least 2 years of marketing/sales related experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 5 years of experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience working with people with disabilities or youth is a plus.
