Role Overview
Providential Home Care is a locally owned in‑home caregiving agency serving seniors and families throughout the Portland metro area. Our work is deeply personal. Families come to us during moments of transition, stress, and uncertainty, and our responsibility is to meet them with professionalism, compassion, and clarity.
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to help us strengthen and expand our presence in the senior services community. This role is centered on relationship building, trust, and long‑term partnerships.
This position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with key referral partners across the senior care ecosystem, including healthcare professionals, case managers, care managers, and other aligned professionals.
The right individual will be comfortable starting conversations, following up thoughtfully, and representing Providential Home Care with credibility and warmth. Success in this role comes from consistency, listening well, and being a reliable resource to partners and families.
Key Responsibilities
Build and nurture professional relationships with referral partners such as hospitals, discharge planners, care/case managers, and other senior service providers.
Represent Providential Home Care in the community through in‑person visits, meetings, and local networking opportunities.
Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for referral partners, answering questions and ensuring smooth handoffs for families seeking care.
Track and manage referral relationships and follow‑ups in a consistent, organized manner.
Collaborate closely with leadership and operations to ensure expectations are aligned and care starts smoothly.
Maintain long‑term relationships with partners you bring in, supporting ongoing referrals and continuity.
Communicate our services clearly and accurately, always with the family’s best interest at the center.
Assist with onboarding new clients and answering questions.
Work alongside our operations team to ensure a positive customer experience.
Compensation Structure
Base salary.
Commission on all new clients you bring to Providential Home Care.
Ongoing commission on existing clients you originated, for as long as they remain active.
Compensation is designed to reward long‑term relationship building, not short‑term transactions.
Ideal Background Preferred backgrounds include:
Medical or healthcare‑related sales.
Medical equipment, rental car, or equipment rental industries.
B2B relationship management roles.
Hospitality or service industries with strong interpersonal components.
Formal sales training is a plus but not required. A background in senior care, healthcare, or human services is a plus, but not required for the right person.
